You
knew it was Lakmé Fashion Week in association with Gitanjali Lifestyle
once again if you happened to be at Vie Lounge on Thursday night as Gitanjali
Lifestyle and Rocky S hosted the opening party.
It was breezy
in the outside section overlooking Juhu beach, while inside the music was
pumping and the screen was showing the Hockey World Cup. The party people were
trooping in, settling at the bar or air-kissing their friends and acquaintances
amidst nibbling on bites of hors d’oeuvres. The mood was energetic, as the
ladies and gentlemen, models and designers were all set to herald yet another
edition of the prestigious five-day fashion fest.
Looking pleased as
punch was Rocky S who seemed excited that he was opening the fashion week for
the first time, as he teams with Queenie for Giantti who would showcase some
stunning jewellery. Vie’s Basab Paul and wife Annu were there sharing in
the excitement as they said hello to the merry mix of guests who walked in at
regular intervals (some very fashionably late!). Spotted in the packed house
were young designers Nishka Lulla and Masaba Gupta who walked in with her
long-haired model friend.

Shweta Bharadwaj enjoyed their girl time together. Stylist and designer Rehan
Shah was at his flamboyant best as he breezed in with Jennifer Mayani who was
down from Chile especially for LFW. Ashish Raheja, Amit Gaurr and Siddharth
Kannan were also present at the opening party. And the time was ticking with the
talk veering towards Bezel, the multi-brand store by Gitanjali Lifestyle,
stocking a wide range of trendy fashion watches from leading international
brands. Let the fashion passion begin...
