NEW DELHI: Karnataka Lokayukta Santosh
Hegde on Saturday decided to take back his resignation and resume duties.
Hegde's decision to withdraw his resignation comes after Karnataka CM B S
Yeddyurappa and BJP chief Nitin Gadkari met the Lokayukta at his residence and
appealed him to resume work.
Earlier in the day, senior BJP leader L
K Advani too appealed to Santosh Hegde to withdraw his
resignation.
"I appeal to him to kindly withdraw his resignation,"
Advani said in a statement.
Hegde had alleged that there was rampant
corruption in the southern state, including in the government, which was making
it difficult for him to function and submitted his resignation.
