NEW DELHI: Even as the BCCI discusses
suspended IPL chief Lalit Modi's fate, sources told TIMES NOW on Saturday (July
3) that the decision to remove Modi is likely to be ratified unanimously.
Sources added that the BCCI is likely to file Rs 1200 crore fraud case against
the suspended IPL chief.
BCCI is convening their special general
meeting in Mumbai to finally draft the 'oust Modi plan.' There are 30 members
attending and the ones allegedly close to Modi are expected to miss this special
meeting.
The three-point agenda of the meeting will ratify the
action of Srinivasan in referring the charges against Modi issued in the three
show-cause notices served to him to the Disciplinary Committee for further
proceedings among other things.
While BCCI will be discussing
Lalit's Modi fate, the suspended IPL chief is currently in South Africa soaking
in the football World Cup fever. He tweeted last night saying that he was at the
Soccer City Stadium and enjoying the football World Cup and was rooting for the
African nation but that he was disappointed to see them exit.
