AMBALA: Nearly after a gap of five decades, this city, popular for freedom struggle and last workplace of Anna Hazare, is in celebrations mode following Bollywood debut by a local girl. Prineeti, who is playing one of the four lead characters in Bollywood film 'Ladies Versus Rickey Behal', is daughter of Mahesh Nagar resident Pawan Chopra. First cousin of Bollywood hit Priyanka Chopra, Prineeti was a model by profession before foraying into the films. Whether the film hit a jackpot or not, multiplexes here witnessed a heavy rush on Saturday and Sunday during the screening of the film. Notably, before Priniti, 'Johra Bai Ambala Vali', a famous singer who sang songs like 'Ankhiya milake, jiya bharmake' became popular in Bollywood in the 50s. "This is dream come true for me and my daughter also. I have been receiving greeting for the last two days. This is her first film and people are appreciating her role," said her father Pawan Chopra. |
